Le Cycliste Ch. Sorlier d'apres Fernand Leger, Imprimeur Mourlot. Exceptional large lithograph created for the Exhibition Le Travail, Les Peintres temoins de leur Temps at the Musee dArt Moderne de la Ville de Paris in 1951. This is either a before the text state of the billboard ad or a special printing to be used in the Museum interior. The poster is particularly elegant and modern with it's big white reserve margins. The paper is that rather early poster type with one surface only. As F.Leger is truly alive in 1950, we must consider that he overviewed the lithograph controlling Sorlier and Mourlot's work.
